ELGAS LPG Gas is a market leader and one of Australia’s largest LPG gas suppliers of homes and businesses. The company prides itself on localness, safety and reliability, the latter of which is achieved through over 40 service centers spread throughout Australia ensuring rapid supply and delivery. Unirank has provided innovative IT solutions for ELGAS for over 20 years. The importance of technological infrastructure in their industry has always been ingrained in Unirank’s ongoing partnership with ELGAS allowing us to provide the best support and services. Thus, we have earned their trust as a valued technology partner. In February 2015, ELGAS bought the East Coast portfolio of Kleenheat LPG Gas and called on us to provide IT assistance to make the transition as smooth and easy as possible. And that is the service we delivered.
The Project:
Our mission objective was to assist ELGAS with the transition of all of their newly acquired branches’ IT infrastructure to their network. This included project management, resources planning, supply of hardware, providing procedural plans and organisation of on-site IT technical engineers for over 20 of ELGAS’s new branches located across five Australian states. As time was of the essence for optimal business continuity, we were given a fixed cut-over date for the entire transition over 20 different locations to be accomplished in the tight space of a weekend. We are proud to say, we coordinated the whole endeavour and achieved it in the given time frame to incredible success.
The Result:
The smooth and quick transition allowed for the minimal amount of inconvenience to customers of both companies and set up the groundwork for a quick adaptation for all Kleenheat Gas employees with all technology up and running by the next business day following the upgrade weekend.
